From the very beginning of the process (discussing the details of sizing and cost and answering all our questions clearly and thoroughly), through the quick installation (by a very nice and professional crew) everything was made very easy for us. Most importantly, the system is performing great, with zero hassle. Solar is expensive in the US right now, there's no getting around that. But if you're thinking of making the investment, I would recommend PV Squared.

They are realistic with ROI and system expectations. They don't "Over-sell" or over-state. Their honest approach to doing business is refreshing. When I decided to have solar panels installed, I asked about a dozen people for a recommendation for the best solar installers and company.  Each and every person recommended PV Squared Solar.  In fact, each and every person shared stories about how pleased they were with PV2! Now that I’ve experienced PV2’s outstanding work, I know their fabulous reputation is entirely accurate. Not only do they set the standards for the best installations, but they also make the process user-friendly for people like me who don’t want to be overwhelmed by all that’s entailed in the process.  PV2 provides individuals at each step of the process who are adept at initiating all necessary contact and making sure every step goes smoothly.  They prepare all paperwork, and they manage it in a way that is understandable and completely helpful to the customer. By the time the installers came, I knew what to expect and I had all documents in hand.  But the installers went far beyond reasonable expectations, because they accomplished the work following a blizzard that created numerous obstacles.  It was hard to believe how effectively they cleared and prepared the roof, when there were 4 foot snow piles around the perimeter of the house.  Yet they didn’t attempt to rush through their work. For example, while there were easier and quicker ways to install cables from the roof down to the basement, the electricians examined every possible route in the house to seek the way that would be most efficient as well as most aesthetically pleasing.  All of the workers went above and beyond standard expectations, and the installation was done beautifully and expertly, by a great group of caring and thoroughly professional human beings.  Believe me, you want this company to do your solar installation! You’ll be fortunate to have them and pleased with the results.

We've worked with PV Squared (PV2) twice: once to have solar panels installed on our new home and again to have additional panels and battery storage added.  The PV2 team are consummate professionals.  They worked with us closely in designing our 2 systems and installed them on time and on budget.  The installation team worked cordial and efficient, getting our rather complex system up and running in just a few days. This was especially helpful on our second system as there expeditious work allowed us to be eligible for Federal tax incentives. The project manager on our latest system thoroughly explained, step by step, how the project would proceed and what would be expected of us at each stage.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with PV Squared was extremely positive, from the project proposal to the final installation. I have never had a contractor with better communication. They were very patient in explaining everything and always answered emails. We had several minor design changes along the way (due to circumstances outside their control), but they kept us well informed at every step. The cost of the system was exactly what was in the proposal. We were hoping to have our system installed before the federal tax credit expired on Dec 31. PV2 never promised that, but we could tell they were really working to get it done. Our system went live in late December. The installation crews worked through 6 inches of snow on the roof and freezing temperatures and were always there when they said they would be. Everyone was friendly and professional, and we never felt as though they were pressuring or overpromising.

I chose PV Squared in the summer of 2025, out of several other bids primarily because they are a co-op and it is my hope that they will be around for a long time.  Excellent installation and staff followup.  I really like the electrical wires contained within steel conduit.  I followed up with minisplits and for the past two months Eversource has owed me credit.
