Spring 2019 News & Updates

We’re excited to install solar on 4 new Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity homes in Florence and Northampton.

Over the last decade, PV Squared has donated solar systems to Pioneer Valley Habitat homes throughout Franklin and Hampshire county. We’ve completed 8 projects to date, with 4 more in the queue for 2019! These efforts have provided nearly $50,000 and counting of energy savings for low-income homeowners. Take a look at some photographs of the 1st of these 4 new projects.

A 502 kW solar system for Pioneer Valley Books in Florence, MA  is currently underway!

The finished system will have over 1,500 solar panels on the warehouse of Pioneer Valley Books, who produces high quality books for early literacy learners both in the classroom and at home.

Congratulations to our friends at Real Pickles for going solar- twice!

Real Pickles, our neighbor and a fellow worker-owned cooperative, produce delicious, Northeast-grown pickled foods that are raw, vinegar-free, and 100% organic. We installed their first solar system back in 2011, and just recently finished installing a second system to further offset their operating costs.
